Ecommerce Boxes

Ecommerce boxes are shipping cartons made to protect products on the way to the customer and to look good when they arrive. TBPB cuts them to your product, prints your branding inside and out, and has no minimum order, so you can start with one test box or a full shipment.

Pricing depends on size, material and quantity. Tell us what you need and a specialist replies within one business day with a firm quote, a free dieline and a digital proof. No minimum order, free shipping.

Shipping and Turnaround

Standard production runs 7 to 14 business days, depending on the box style, print method, and finishing you choose, a simple kraft mailer moves faster than a box with foil stamping or spot UV. Need it sooner? We handle rush requests case by case, so email us your deadline before you place the order and we’ll tell you straight whether we can hit it.

Shipping is free on every order, in the United States and internationally. We ship with FedEx, UPS, USPS or DHL depending on your location and order size, and you’ll get a tracking number as soon as your order leaves our facility.

Custom ecommerce boxes are corrugated shipping cartons sized to your product and printed with your branding, and TBPB makes them with no minimum order. Bring a written quote for the same specs from another supplier and our price-beat guarantee means we beat it.

What separates an ecommerce box from a retail box

A retail box sits on a shelf and sells the product to someone who can pick it up. An ecommerce box travels in a van, gets stacked, dropped and sometimes rained on, and the customer opens it at home. That changes what the box has to do. It needs structure that survives handling, closures that stay closed, and print that looks good after a few scuffs. Corrugated board is the usual answer. It is a fluted paper structure that carries load and absorbs impact better than a flat paperboard carton of the same thickness.

Choosing the construction

The most common ecommerce construction is the mailer, a self-locking corrugated box that opens like a lid. Our kraft mailer boxes are one example, and the wider TBPB mailer boxes range covers other closures. Some products ship better in a regular slotted shipper with a printed sleeve around it. Others, like a candle or a bottle, need a fitted insert, and our custom foam inserts are made for that. We help you choose based on weight, fragility and how many items go in each parcel.

Sizing for shipping cost and protection

Carriers charge on weight and on dimensional size, so a box that is too big can cost more to ship than the product justifies. A box that is too tight crushes the product when a corner is hit. Aim for a fit with a small amount of void space that you fill with paper or an insert. Measure the packed product in three directions and tell us the inside dimensions you need. Corrugated has thickness, so the outside is bigger than the inside, and we calculate it on the dieline. If you ship many products, consider two or three standard sizes rather than a different box for every item.

Print that earns its place

A single-colour logo on a brown or white box looks clean and costs less than full coverage. Printing the inside of the lid with a thank-you message or care instructions turns the unboxing moment into a branding opportunity. Full-colour artwork is possible, though it works best on white-liner board. Matte and gloss coatings are available, and Pantone matching helps with brand colours.

  • Board: corrugated, E-flute or B-flute, brown kraft or white
  • Styles: self-locking mailer, shipper, custom sizes
  • Print: outside, inside, or both
  • Extras: inserts, stickers, tissue, tape
  • Quantity: no minimum order

Sustainability and waste

If your customers care about waste, a right-sized corrugated box that can be recycled with other cardboard is a sensible starting point. Avoid unnecessary plastic windows or heavy laminations, which complicate recycling. We make no certification claims for individual orders. If you need a specific recyclability statement, ask us what applies to your build, and see our eco-friendly boxes for related options.

Test with a real shipment

The best check for any ecommerce box is a real parcel. Pack one exactly as a customer order would be packed, label it and send it through your usual carrier to an address you control. When it comes back, look at the corners, the closure and the print. If the lid has bowed or the corners have crushed, a thicker flute or a better fit is cheap to fix now. Because there is no minimum order, you can run this test with a single box before you ever commit to a larger run.

Brands that ship regularly often keep two or three standard box sizes, which keeps reorders simple and storage tidy. Tell us your range of products and we can suggest a short list of sizes that covers most of them.

Send the packed product dimensions, weight and quantity, even if it is one, and TBPB will draw the dieline and quote it.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Is there a minimum order for custom ecommerce boxes?

No. TBPB has no minimum order on ecommerce boxes. You can order one to test the fit and the unboxing, or thousands for a full season. We draw the dieline and you approve it before printing, whatever the quantity.

  2. What is the best box for shipping clothing?

A thin corrugated mailer is usually enough for folded clothing, since the product is soft and light. Measure the folded, bagged garment and choose a mailer that fits snugly. For heavier items or fragile accessories, a thicker flute or an insert helps.

  3. Can I print inside an ecommerce box?

Yes. Printing the inside of the lid is a popular way to add a thank-you message, a pattern or care instructions. Mention it when you request the quote so the artwork and dieline include the inside surfaces.

  4. How do I choose the right box size?

Measure the packed product, including any wrap, bag or insert, in three directions. Tell us the inside dimensions you need, because corrugated has wall thickness and the outside will be larger. A snug fit with a little void fill is cheaper to ship and safer than a loose box.

  5. What flute should I choose?

E-flute is thin, prints cleanly and suits light to medium products. B-flute is thicker and takes more impact, which suits heavier or more fragile goods. If you are unsure, tell us the weight and how the parcel ships, and we recommend one.

  6. Are ecommerce boxes recyclable?

Plain corrugated is paper-based and generally accepted in curbside cardboard recycling. Coatings, laminations and plastic inserts can change that. We do not make certification claims for individual orders, so ask us if you need a specific statement for your customers.

Ecommerce boxes do two jobs at once. They have to get the product to the customer in one piece, and they are the first physical thing the customer sees from your brand. Most online brands start with plain brown cartons and later realize the box is a branding surface that costs almost nothing extra to print. TBPB makes ecommerce boxes in corrugated board cut to the product size, with printing on the outside, the inside, or both. There is no minimum order, so a new store can test a box with one customer order and scale from there.

What Are Ecommerce Boxes?

Pick the box from the product, not the other way round. Light, soft goods like clothing do well in a thin corrugated mailer. Heavier or breakable goods need thicker flute and an insert. Measure the packed product, including any bag or wrap, and choose a box that fits snugly without strain. Oversize boxes waste material and let products move. Then decide how much branding you need: a logo on the lid and a printed interior is a strong, restrained start. If the parcel is heavy or breakable, tell us the weight and how it ships so we can suggest the flute and an insert before you order.
