Custom Juice Boxes

Custom juice boxes are printed paperboard cartons made to hold juice bottles, pouches or cans for retail, gifting and shipping. TBPB makes them to your container size with no minimum order, and if you bring a written quote for the same specs we will beat it.

What a juice box is, and is not

There is one thing to clear up early. The paperboard cartons we print are outer packaging: they hold and present a sealed bottle, can or pouch. They are not the liquid-tight laminated cartons that juice is filled into on a production line. If you need that kind of filled carton, it requires specialist filling equipment and is a different product. If you need a branded box around bottled juice, a multipack carrier or a gift set, that is what we make.

Styles that suit juice

A single bottle of cold-pressed juice usually fits a simple tuck top or sleeve carton, with a die-cut seat that keeps the bottle upright. Multipacks of four or six suit a carrier with a handle, and our custom beverage boxes cover those shapes. A gable-style carton with a carry handle is a popular choice for gifting and farmers’ markets, and the food gable bag shows how that structure works. Condensation and cold storage

Juice is often kept cold, and a chilled bottle sweats the moment it comes out of the fridge. Plain paperboard softens when it gets damp, so a sleeve or carton that stays in the fridge needs a water-resistant coating or should be kept away from the bottle surface. Aqueous coating and film lamination both help, but no paperboard is waterproof, and we will not tell you otherwise. For wet or iced shipping, corrugated with a liner or a separate cold-chain pack is the sensible answer.

Getting the size right

Measure the bottle at its widest point and total height with the cap on, then add about 1/8 inch per side for a folding carton. For a multipack, measure the bottles side by side with the gap you want between them, since the dividers add width. If bottles vary in diameter or have shrink sleeves, measure the real one rather than a spec sheet.

Board, print and finish

Folding carton paperboard in the 18 to 24 point range is typical for single bottles, and E-flute or B-flute corrugated suits multipacks and shipping. Full-colour CMYK printing makes fruit imagery look vivid. A Pantone match keeps a brand colour steady across flavours, and matte, gloss or soft-touch coatings adjust the feel. Kraft board gives a natural, cold-pressed look. Spot UV on the logo or fruit illustration is a nice detail on a gift set.

Juice labelling is regulated, including nutrition panels, ingredient lists and claims. TBPB prints the artwork you supply and does not check it, so confirm labelling and contact-material needs with your own regulatory adviser.
