Pre-roll Packaging

Custom printed pre roll packaging made to your size with no minimum order. Tubes, boxes, and multipack cartons for pre rolls, with child resistant and tamper evident options on request, printed full color and priced to beat what you are paying now. Labeling, warnings, and regulatory compliance stay your responsibility as the brand. Treat this as packaging guidance, not legal advice.
Protect the product, meet the rules
Single tubes for one pre roll, boxes and sliders for multipacks, and child resistant closures where your market requires them. Add a window, foil on the logo, and space for the panels and codes you have to carry. Sturdy enough to keep a pre roll from crushing in a pocket or a shipment. We build and print the packaging, and the claims and compliance are yours to control.

A pre-roll is the most fragile thing in the category

Everything else in regulated packaging is protecting a bottle, a jar or a sealed pouch. A pre-roll is loosely packed plant material in a thin paper cylinder, and it is ruined by two things that packaging can prevent: bending, and losing or gaining moisture.

Bending is the obvious one. A pre-roll that flexes in transit cracks along the fold, and the customer opens a package with a broken product in it. Anything not held rigid along its length will do this eventually, which is why tubes and fitted inserts dominate this format and why a plain carton with room to move is the wrong answer whatever it looks like.

Moisture is the one people miss. Flower dries out and goes harsh, or takes on humidity and will not draw properly. Both happen through the packaging over weeks on a shelf, and both are a barrier and closure question rather than a board question.

Child resistance is tested, not bought

The same rule applies here as across the category: child resistance belongs to a finished, tested package with a specific product inside, not to a material or a closure you can specify from a list. Multi-pack pre-roll packaging complicates it further, because a package that must be reclosable and child-resistant after opening is a stricter problem than one opened once.

Tell us what your market requires and we will build to it. We will not tell you what your state requires — that comes from your regulator or your compliance advisor.

Single, multi-pack and reclosable

A single pre-roll in a tube is the simplest case: rigid, sealed, done. Multi-packs are where the design work is, because the units must not rub against each other, the pack usually has to reclose, and the required label area grows with the number of units and the total potency declaration.

If the pack will be opened and closed repeatedly, say so at the quote. Reclosability changes both the structure and, where it applies, the child-resistant testing.

Pre-roll packaging formats

Pre-roll packaging boxes cover cartons and multi-packs built around your unit count. CBD pre-roll boxes handle the hemp-derived side, where the rules differ from state-licensed cannabis.

Child-resistant joint packaging and child-resistant blunt packaging are built to a child-resistant specification from the outset rather than adapted to one.

For single units and cylindrical formats, paper tube packaging is often the better structure, and the wider regulated range sits in CBD and cannabis packaging.

Ordering

No minimum order, which is worth something in a category where product lines and rules both move quickly. Packaging is built to your unit count, your unit size and the requirements you supply. Design is free, samples are free, and shipping is free.

Questions producers ask

Why do my pre-rolls arrive broken?

Almost always movement. A unit that can flex or slide will crack along the bend. Hold each one rigid along its length, either in a tube or in an insert cut to the diameter, and the problem disappears.

What keeps pre-rolls from drying out?

A barrier and a closure that actually seals. Board alone does not hold humidity in either direction. If shelf life matters, that is a specification to raise at the quote rather than a coating to add later.

Do I need child-resistant packaging?

That depends on your market and your product type, and it is a question for your regulator rather than for us. If the answer is yes, we build to that specification — and note that the certification attaches to your tested finished package, not to a material.

Single or multi-pack?

Singles are simpler and suit impulse and sampling. Multi-packs need units separated so they cannot rub, usually need to reclose, and carry more required label text. Decide the unit count before the structure, because it changes both.

Can I use a tube instead of a box?

For a single unit it is often the better answer: rigid along the length, easy to seal, and it holds shape in a pocket or a bag. Multi-packs generally need a carton with an insert, or a tray of tubes inside one.

What types of packaging solutions do you offer?
Custom boxes and mailers, rigid and luxury boxes, retail and display packaging, mylar bags and pouches, and packaging built for food, cosmetics, CBD, coffee, candles and apparel. Everything is made to your size and printed with your artwork rather than picked from a stock range.
Yes, and it is the only thing we do. Send your product dimensions or a sample and we build the box around it, dieline included. If you are not sure which style suits the product, tell us what you ship and we will recommend one.
Kraft and corrugated board are widely recycled, and many of our box styles can be produced in unbleached kraft with no lamination, which is the most easily recycled combination. Laminates, foils and plastic linings all reduce recyclability. Tell us if that matters and we will specify the closest option and be straight with you about the trade off.
Request a free quote with your size, quantity and artwork, or just a description of what you ship. You get a quote and a free dieline, then a digital proof to approve. Nothing is printed until you approve the proof.
No. There is no minimum quantity and no minimum order fee, so a short first run and a full production run are both welcome. Free design, a free proof and free samples come with either.
