Or the print is so dark and heavily coated that the barcode will not scan. Fix them at design stage: cut the length to the cone with almost no slack, use a deeper tuck flap or a sleeve for anything that rides in a pocket, and keep the barcode on a light patch with a quiet zone around it. We flag these on the dieline before anything is printed.
