Start with the pre-roll itself. A king size cone is roughly 109 mm long, a 1 1/4 size is shorter, and a dog walker sits somewhere in between depending on the filter and twist. Measure your actual product, including the filter tip and any twist at the top, because cones vary between suppliers. Then add about 1/8 inch of clearance on the length and enough width for the count. A single pre-roll box is a slim sleeve or tuck carton. A multi-pack of three, five or ten is wider and usually needs an insert so the joints do not roll into each other.

Shelf life matters too. Paperboard does not seal out air or moisture, so if your pre-rolls need a controlled environment, keep them in a sealed tube or pouch inside the carton and let the box handle presentation.
