What delta-8 brands actually need from a pouch
Most delta-8 pouches hold edibles, and edibles are the product where a pouch has to do three things at once. It has to stay sealed until first opening, it has to look consistent across flavours, and it has to carry a large amount of required text without looking like a legal notice. A stand-up pouch with a zipper, a tear notch and a heat-sealed top handles the first. A shared layout with a coloured flavour band handles the second. A clean front panel and a well-organised back panel handle the third.
Regulation: be careful, and be the one responsible

Sizing and layout for gummies and edibles
Size from volume. Pour a representative fill of your gummies into a test container, measure the height it reaches and add headspace above for the heat seal and zipper. Gummies are bulkier than the same weight of powder, so a pouch sized by grams alone can come out too small. If the product is sticky or oily, avoid a design that depends on the product touching the seal. Allow space on the bottom gusset of a stand-up pouch so it stands steady when half empty.
Proof everything. Send the artwork with the real text in place, not a placeholder, and ask for a dieline proof so you can check that no required panel is cut by the seal or the zipper line. Also look at colour: gummy brands often rely on bright flavour colours, and bright inks on metallic film shift slightly from what you see on screen. A press proof or a short sample run is a cheap way to catch that before a larger order. Keep a record of the approved file with the date, because you may need to show exactly what a given batch carried.
