The box protects the jar, not the concentrate
Most concentrates are sold in a small glass or silicone jar, a tin or a syringe. The jar and its label do the hard work of containing and identifying the product. The outer box is what customers see, hold and judge. Its job is to keep that container from moving, to present the brand and to give you a clear place for the required information. Think of it as a case rather than a seal. That framing helps you decide what the box must do, and what it should leave to the container itself.
Fitting the container
Measure the container at its widest, tallest and deepest points, including lids and any label sleeves. Concentrate jars come in many sizes, so do not assume a standard. Add about 1/8 inch of clearance per side, then decide how to hold the jar: a paperboard insert with a circular cut-out seats a jar upright, a foam insert grips more tightly, and a plain divided tray lets the box carry several units for a sampler. If you pack several formats, such as wax in a jar and rosin in a tin, tell us all of the dimensions and we will tell you whether one carton can serve them with different inserts.
Print, structure and compliance
Common structures are a tuck-end carton, a sleeve and tray and a lid and base box. Folding carton paperboard suits most. Printing is CMYK with Pantone matching, and finishes include matte or gloss aqueous coating, soft touch lamination, spot UV, foil stamping and embossing. A dark soft-touch carton with a single foil mark is a typical look in this category. Cannabis and hemp packaging rules vary by state and can include warnings, universal symbols, THC content statements and child-resistant or opaque requirements. Plan for the retail counter. Concentrate boxes are small and often sit in a locked case or behind glass, so the front face has to read from a short distance: a clear product name, a strain or type line and a logo that is large enough to recognise. Put the batch, weight and testing details on a panel that stays visible when the box sits upright. Avoid tiny light type on dark soft-touch board, which can be hard to read under shop lighting, and ask for a printed proof if the design relies on fine detail.

Are concentrate boxes child-resistant?
A standard carton is not child-resistant, and we do not claim it is. State rules for cannabis and hemp packaging vary and may require child-resistant or opaque packaging, warnings and symbols. Confirm requirements with your own regulatory adviser before choosing a structure.
Who writes the warnings and compliance copy?
You do. We print the artwork you supply and do not supply compliance text. Check required warnings, content statements and symbols with your regulatory adviser, and send the approved wording as part of your artwork so we can place it correctly on the dieline.
Can one carton hold several concentrate containers?
Yes. A divided tray or a multi-cavity insert can hold a sampler of several jars or tins. Tell us how many units and their sizes, and we plan the layout. Bigger counts mean a bigger box, so confirm the weight and how it will be displayed.
