The Best Price Boxes makes custom double-wall lock bottom boxes with no minimum order, and we beat any written quote on the same specs. Double-wall corrugated stacks two layers of fluting between three liners, which makes it the board to pick when single-wall boxes crush, bulge, or split under heavy product.

What double-wall board is

Single-wall corrugated has one wavy fluted layer between two flat liners. Double-wall adds a second flute and a third liner, so the wall is thicker and far harder to crush from the top. The trade-off is weight and cost per box, plus a bit less flexibility when folding.

A lock bottom (also called an auto-bottom or crash-lock) arrives flat and pre-glued. You open it, the bottom snaps into place, and it is ready to fill without taping. On a heavy load, bottom construction matters as much as board thickness, so tell us the weight and we will confirm the right bottom style for your spec.

When double-wall is worth it

It earns its place for heavy or dense items, products that get stacked on pallets, and anything shipped long distances with several touches. Small appliances, glass jars, bottled goods, hardware, and bulk dry goods are typical examples.

It is overkill for lightweight apparel or soft goods. If the box rarely carries more than a few pounds, single-wall in a good fit will do the job, and our custom corrugated boxes cover that. For brown, unprinted shipping cartons, kraft corrugated boxes are the usual starting point.

How to measure for your box

Measure the product itself, not the old box. Record length, width, and height in inches, then add room for padding. Interior dimensions are what matter, always listed in the order length by width by depth, with the opening on top. Weigh the filled box too. That number drives the board choice more than any other.

If you are not sure which board your load needs, read our guide to what corrugated cardboard is and send us the weight. We will say plainly if single-wall is enough.

How to order

Send dimensions, product weight, and quantity, even if the quantity is one. We prepare a dieline, you approve it, and we quote against any written price you hold. Cardboard boxes in other formats are on the site if you need a different style, and the request a quote form takes about a minute. Free design, free samples, and free shipping are included.

Questions buyers ask

What is a double-wall box?

It is corrugated board with two layers of fluting and three liners. That makes the wall thicker and much more resistant to crushing than single-wall, so it suits heavy products and stacked pallets.

Can I order just one double-wall lock bottom box?

Yes. There is no minimum order, so you can order one box to test fit and strength before committing to a larger run.

How heavy a product can it hold?

It depends on box size, board grade, and bottom style. Tell us the loaded weight and dimensions and we will recommend the right build rather than quote a number that may not fit your product.

Is a lock bottom strong enough for heavy items?

It can be, with the right board and tape or glue reinforcement. For very heavy loads, we may suggest a different bottom style. Ask us to confirm for your spec.

Can I print on it?

Yes. We print the artwork you send on the outside. Send your logo and any brand colors and we will set it up on the dieline.
