The Best Price Boxes makes custom quad seal bags with no minimum order and no plate fee, and we beat any written quote for the same specs. A quad seal bag is a flat-bottom pouch with four vertical seals, one at each corner, which lets it stand square on a shelf and hold its shape better than a standard pillow pouch.

How a quad seal bag is built

The bag is formed from a single film folded into a tube, then sealed down all four corners. That gives you a flat front panel, a flat back panel and two side gussets that fold flat when the bag is empty and open to a boxy shape when it is filled. The flat panels matter for branding because there are no side seams cutting through your artwork.

Compared with a stand-up pouch, which has a rounded bottom gusset, a quad seal stands taller and squarer, takes up shelf space more neatly and holds a heavier fill without slumping. The cost is a bit more material and a more involved seal. See our guide to stand-up pouches for the comparison.

Where quad seal bags make sense

Coffee is the classic case. Roasters like the flat bottom because the bag sits upright on a counter and ships well in a case. Granola, loose tea, pet treats, baking mixes and dry ingredient bulk bags use the same format. If you sell by weight, tell us the fill weight and bulk density, since a pound of whole bean and a pound of ground fill very different volumes.

For smell-proof or lightproof needs, a barrier film is the right choice. Our mylar bag guide explains the film, and the custom bags category shows what else we make.

Closures, valves and film

Roasters usually want a one-way degassing valve so fresh beans can release carbon dioxide without letting air in. A resealable zipper or a tin tie lets the customer close the bag after opening. Film structure sets the barrier against oxygen, moisture and light. Which combinations are available depends on the size and fill, so ask us to confirm your spec before finalizing artwork.

How to size a quad seal bag

Start from the fill, not the bag. Weigh your product, pour it into a test container and note the volume. Bag width, depth and height follow from that volume plus headspace at the top for sealing and a fold or zipper. Send us the fill weight and product, and we calculate the dimensions with you. Food and coffee labeling, such as net weight and ingredients, is yours to supply, and we print the artwork you send.

How to order

Send the product, fill weight and quantity through the quote form. A small test run is fine. If you have a written quote from another supplier for the same specs, include it and we will beat it. For roasters who also need a shipper, see our coffee boxes.

Questions buyers ask

Is there a minimum order for quad seal bags?

No. We make custom quad seal bags with no minimum order and no plate fee, so you can order a small first run to test the fill and the look before scaling.

What is the difference between a quad seal and a stand-up pouch?

A quad seal bag has four corner seals and a flat, square bottom. A stand-up pouch has a rounded bottom gusset. Quad seal stands taller and squarer and handles heavier fills, while stand-up is simpler and often lighter on material.

Can I add a degassing valve to a quad seal bag?

A one-way valve is standard for fresh-roasted coffee. Availability depends on bag size and film, so tell us your product and fill weight and we will confirm what fits.

Who writes the label copy for food bags?

You do. Nutrition, ingredients and net weight are your responsibility as the brand owner, and we print the artwork you supply. We can review placement so nothing lands on a seal.
