Watch boxes are printed single-watch packages that hold the watch on a pillow or cradle and present it as a gift or a boutique sale. TBPB makes them custom to your case and strap size, with branding inside and out, and with no minimum order, from one sample to a full collection.

Shipping and Turnaround

Standard production runs 7 to 14 business days, depending on the box style, print method, and finishing you choose, a simple kraft mailer moves faster than a box with foil stamping or spot UV. Need it sooner? We handle rush requests case by case, so email us your deadline before you place the order and we’ll tell you straight whether we can hit it.

Shipping is free on every order, in the United States and internationally. We ship with FedEx, UPS, USPS or DHL depending on your location and order size, and you’ll get a tracking number as soon as your order leaves our facility.

A watch box is the package a single watch goes home in: a printed box with a pillow, cradle or insert that holds the case and strap in a fixed position and shows the dial when the lid lifts. TBPB makes it custom with no minimum order, and beats any written quote you bring for the same specifications.

The unboxing is part of the product

A watch buyer has often spent a considerable amount of money and wants the moment of opening to feel earned. That does not mean the box has to be extravagant. A neat, firm box with a clean pillow, a tidy print and a lid that closes with a satisfying resistance does the job. Flimsy board, a loose pillow or a strap that has been bent into a pocket does the opposite. The test is simple: open it in front of someone and see if their first reaction is to look at the watch or to fix something.

How to measure for a watch box

Measure the case diameter, the case thickness, the lug-to-lug length and the strap length laid out flat. The pillow holds the strap in a curve and the case near the middle, so the interior needs to be larger than the case alone. A rule that works: add 3 to 5 mm of clearance around the pillow and allow the lid to sit about 10 mm above the watch face so the crystal never touches the cover. If you sell the same box for several models, size to the largest and use inserts that adapt to smaller cases.

Structure and material

For a lighter build, a folding carton with a paperboard pillow and a printed outer sleeve is light, flat-packs for storage and prints beautifully. Kraft board with a one-colour print suits a minimalist or sustainable brand. For a heavier, more traditional presentation, our white rigid gift boxes and magnetic closure gift boxes are rigid options; they are separate products, so tell us if you want to compare. A printed gift sleeve over a plain inner box is another route that adds branding without a custom structure.

Check the pillow material before approving. Cheap foam pillows can leave a faint imprint on a leather strap that has sat for months, so ask for a firm paperboard-backed pillow if your watches sit in stock for a long time. Also test how the strap loop holds: it should grip, not squeeze.

  • Single-watch boxes with a pillow, cradle or board insert
  • Folding carton or kraft board, with a sleeve option
  • CMYK or Pantone print, foil, embossing and spot UV
  • Inside print on the lid for warranty or care information
  • Sample orders and full runs with no minimum order

Display or gift: choose the right box

A watch box that goes home with the customer is a different job from a unit that holds several watches on the counter. If you need the second, see watch display boxes. Many brands use both: a display unit in the shop and a boxed watch at the till.

Finishes need thought. Dark matte exteriors look refined but show fingerprints from the very first handling, so a soft-touch or lightly textured stock stays tidy in a retail setting. Foil on the brand name catches the light but is best kept small, as large foil areas can look heavy against a delicate watch.

Send the case diameter, strap length, number of watches per box and quantity, even if it is one. We draw the dieline, add the insert layout and send a proof.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Is there a minimum order for custom watch boxes?

No. TBPB has no minimum order. You can order one box to try on a real watch, then reorder when you are happy with the pillow position, print and lid fit.

  2. What measurements do you need for a watch box?

Case diameter, case thickness, lug-to-lug length and the strap length laid flat. We add clearance and set the lid height so the crystal does not touch the cover. Send the largest model if one box has to fit several.

  3. Can the box hold a watch with a metal bracelet?

Yes. A metal bracelet is usually folded in the cradle rather than curved over a pillow. Tell us the bracelet type and length so the cavity is shaped for it and the clasp does not press on the case.

  4. Can I print warranty or care details inside?

Yes. Inside print on the lid or a printed insert card carries warranty, care and contact information. Keep it short so the first view of the watch stays clean, and put long text on a separate leaflet.

  5. What is the difference between a watch box and a watch display box?

A watch box packages one watch for the buyer. A watch display box holds several watches on the counter at an angle for browsing. Many brands use both: a display unit in store and a boxed watch at the till.

  6. Does TBPB beat a competitor quote?

Yes. Bring a written quote for the same dimensions, board, insert and quantity, and TBPB will beat it. Include every spec from the other quote so the comparison is fair.

Why Choose Watch Boxes for Your Timepieces?

Watch boxes are the printed packages a single watch is sold and gifted in, with a pillow or cradle that holds the case and strap and a lid that opens to show the dial. Watch brands and independent jewellers choose them to give a boutique feel at any volume. TBPB sizes each box to your case diameter and strap length, prints your branding inside and out, and offers sleeve, carton and kraft options with no minimum order.

Why Are Watch Boxes Essential for Your Collection?

Measure the case diameter, thickness, lug-to-lug length and strap length, then size the pillow and lid height so the crystal never touches the cover. A folding carton with a sleeve is light and flat to store, kraft suits a simple sustainable look, and heavier rigid or magnetic boxes are available as separate products. Soft-touch and textured stock hide fingerprints better than dark gloss. Send your measurements and we will draw the dieline and insert for approval.
