A cologne box is a folding carton or a rigid box sized to a cologne bottle, most often a 50 or 100 ml glass bottle with a cap, with an insert that holds the bottle upright and a print that reads as a men’s fragrance: darker, matte, foil on the name. We make cologne boxes as 18 to 24 point folding cartons for retail and gift with purchase, and as 2 mm rigid boxes for flagship and gift sets, in any size and with no minimum order. The number that sets the box is the bottle with its cap: a 100 ml cologne is typically 2.75 inches wide, 1.5 deep and 5.5 tall, so a carton for it is 3 by 1.75 by 5.75 inside with a paperboard collar holding the bottle centered.
Cologne is sold to and for men and the packaging codes are consistent: matte black, deep navy, charcoal, wood and leather textures, one metallic on the name, and a heavier hand than a women’s fragrance box. The structure underneath is the same as any fragrance box; it is the finish that changes.

Board and finish
Cartons in 18 point SBS for 30 and 50 ml, 24 point for 100 ml and up so the tall box does not bow. Rigid boxes in 2 mm greyboard. Matte or soft touch lamination, foil stamping in silver, gunmetal, gold or copper on the name, a blind emboss of a crest or mark, and a spot UV texture such as a wood grain or a woven pattern over matte are the usual cologne finishes. Print the inside of the carton in a solid dark color so the reveal matches the outside.
Inserts
For cartons, a paperboard collar, a folded piece that grips the bottle shoulders, holds the bottle centered and stops it rattling on the shelf and in transit. For rigid boxes, a die-cut foam or wrapped paperboard insert cut from the bottle holds it upright with finger notches to lift it. Every insert is cut from the bottle or its drawing; send one and we cut to it.
Shipping
Cartons ship flat and fold on the packing line. Rigid boxes ship assembled inside a corrugated outer with half an inch of clearance and pads top and bottom, so a heavy glass bottle never meets the outer wall. Retail cases pack 6 or 12 in a divided master.
