Handling the cover on the production table
Let poured wax set and cool completely before a cover goes on, because a warm surface can mark the underside of the board or stick to it. Trim the wick first, so the cover sits flat and the wick tip does not poke through a window or dent the lid. If you scent your candles heavily, store finished candles with their covers on for a day and check whether oil from the wax marks the kraft, then adjust the coating or board if it does.
