Wedding Gift Boxes

Wedding gift boxes are small custom boxes made in guest-count quantities, for table favors, bridesmaid and groomsman proposals, out-of-town welcome gifts and keepsakes. TBPB prints them to match your stationery with no minimum order, and we beat any written quote for the same specs.

Four wedding boxes and what goes in each

• Favor box: roughly palm-sized, holding two or three chocolates, a macaron, a small jar or a candle. Tuck-end cartons and pillow boxes keep these light.
• Proposal box: for the bridal party, with room for a card, a small gift and tissue. Rigid with an insert makes the moment feel considered.
• Welcome box: a larger box for out-of-town guests with snacks, a schedule and a map. Corrugated or rigid, sized to the contents.
• Keepsake box: a rigid drawer or lid-and-base box for the couple, built to last long after the day.

Small favor runs often start from a party favor box structure, and if the gift is a card or a gift voucher, a gift card box is the right size without wasted space.

Matching the stationery

The boxes sit on the same table as the invitations, menus and place cards, so they should look related. We print CMYK or match a Pantone color, and finish with matte or gloss coating, soft-touch lamination, foil stamping, embossing or spot UV. A restrained approach usually wins: one color, one foil mark, a monogram on the lid. Busy all-over patterns tend to fight the florals and the linens. Send your invitation artwork and we will suggest paper and finishes that sit comfortably beside it.

Sizing to the favor, not the other way round

Measure what goes inside at its widest, longest and tallest points, then add about 1/8 inch of clearance per side for a folding carton. Rigid boxes need the thickness of the insert on top of that. If the favor is food, the item should be wrapped or bagged before it goes in the box,, because TBPB prints your supplied artwork on the box. For anything edible, you remain responsible for labeling and any contact-material requirements, so confirm those with your own regulatory adviser.

Ordering for a date

Wedding orders have the least flexible deadline in packaging. The date does not move, so the schedule has to work backward from it: artwork approval, a physical sample, any revisions, production and delivery. Tell us the date and the quantity when you request your quote and we will set out the production window in writing. Because there is no minimum order, many couples order a single sample first. It costs little and shows you the real size, color and finish in your hand before two hundred copies are made.

Rigid or folding: choosing by the role the box plays

A useful rule: if the guest will eat or use the contents and throw the box away, a folding carton is plenty. If the box is part of the gift, such as a candle in a keepsake tin or a proposal set, go rigid. Mixing is common too. Many couples use folding cartons on every place setting and a handful of rigid boxes for the wedding party and parents. That keeps the unit count sensible while the people who matter most get something they can keep on a shelf.
