Squishy toy packaging has one job most boxes get wrong: hold the toy without squeezing it. Slow-rising foam takes a set if it sits compressed, stretchy TPR squishies pick up dust and stick to film, and gel or water-filled ones need a sealed inner bag in case one leaks. The Best Price Boxes makes window boxes, blind boxes, hang tab cartons, counter displays and printed or foil-lined bags for squishy brands across the U.S., with free design, a free digital proof and free shipping. Production takes 7 to 14 business days after proof approval.

Squishy packaging at a glance

  • Size the box to the toy at rest, with a little air on every side, never pressed against the walls.
  • Bag every squishy. A sealed poly, printed or foil-lined bag keeps scent in and dust, lint and leaks contained.
  • Pick the box by channel: window boxes for shelves, hang tab cartons for peg walls, blind boxes for collectible series, mailers for online orders.
  • Print the care line. Squishies get heated and microwaved by kids chasing online trends. A clear "do not heat" line on the box is cheap insurance.
  • Wholesale pricing from 1,000 units, no minimum for samples and first runs.

Match the packaging to the kind of squishy

Squishy typeWhat can go wrongPackaging that fixes it
Slow-rising foam (often scented)Holds a dent if packed tight for weeks. Loses its scent in open air.A box sized to the toy at rest, a sealed bag to hold the scent, and an insert or tray that cradles it rather than pins it.
Stretchy TPR (mochi style)Tacky surface collects dust and lint and sticks to window film.An individual poly or printed bag inside the box, or a window box with the toy kept off the film by a tray.
Gel, water or bead-filledCan split and leak, especially in heat or when squeezed in transit.Sealed inner bag, snug carton so it cannot be crushed, and a warning panel if it contains water beads.
Jumbo and plush hybridsBulky and light, so shipping cost depends on box size.A tuck top or mailer box close to the toy size to keep dimensional weight down.
Mini squishies and keychainsSmall enough to be choking hazards for young children.Blind boxes, capsule cubes or hang tab cartons with the age grade and any required warning on the front panel.

Box styles that work for squishies

Window boxes

The buyer sees color and shape on the shelf. Keep the toy off the film with a tray if it is TPR.

Blind boxes

Sealed boxes with foil-lined or printed bags for collectible series. Includes counter displays and master cases.

Hang tab boxes

For peg walls at toy, gift and checkout aisles. A euro slot or hook hole takes the weight.

Counter displays

Mini squishies sell by impulse. A printed display at the register holds a dozen or more.

Mailer boxes

For online shops and squishy subscription boxes. Print inside the lid for unboxing videos.

Poly and printed bags

Individual bags that keep scent in and dust out, plain or printed with your brand.

How to size a squishy box

  1. Measure the toy at rest, after it has fully risen, at its longest, widest and tallest points.
  2. Leave a little air on every side so no wall presses into the foam. Exact clearance depends on the toy, so we confirm it on a sample before the run.
  3. Decide on the inner bag first. A sealed bag adds bulk that the box has to allow for.
  4. Check the box against shipping. If it goes in a mailer or case, the outer dimensions decide how many fit per carton and what it costs to ship.
  5. Send us the numbers. We draw the dieline to your toy at no charge. The box measuring guide shows where each dimension is taken.

Labeling squishy toys for the U.S. market

Squishies are children's products in most cases, so the usual toy rules apply: a tracking label, the country of origin, the producer or distributor's name and address and, for small squishies meant for ages 3 to 6, a choking hazard warning. Two points are specific to squishies right now. The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a safety alert in August 2026 about counterfeit squishies that lack required warnings, age grading and tracking information, and about burns from microwaving or heating them. And toys containing water beads now carry a mandatory warning on the principal display panel under 16 CFR 1250.4, in force since March 2026. Clean, complete labeling on your box also tells retailers and parents your squishy is the real thing.

The toy labeling guide covers each rule with its citation. General information, not legal advice. Your testing lab confirms what applies.

Shipping squishies without complaints

Most squishy complaints online are about arrival: a crushed box, a squishy flattened in a bubble mailer, or a leak. A rigid carton beats a padded envelope for anything foam. Do not overfill the shipper so cartons press down on each other. And in summer, hot delivery vans can soften gel squishies, so a sealed bag inside the box matters. The squishy packaging and shipping guide goes through it step by step.

Squishy packaging questions

What is the best packaging for squishy toys?

A box sized to the toy at rest with a sealed bag inside. Window boxes suit shelf retail, hang tab boxes suit peg walls, blind boxes suit collectible series and mailer boxes suit online orders.

Should squishies be bagged inside the box?

Yes, in most cases. A sealed poly, printed or foil-lined bag keeps scented foam fresh, keeps dust off TPR squishies and contains a leak from gel-filled ones.

Can you print squishy blind boxes with foil bags?

Yes. We make the printed blind box, foil-lined or printed inner bags, checklist cards and counter displays as one kit.

How do I stop slow-rising squishies from getting dented in the box?

Size the box to the toy fully risen, with air on every side, and use a tray or cradle rather than packing it tight. We confirm the fit on a sample before the run.

What warnings should a squishy box carry?

Generally a tracking label, the country of origin, the producer or distributor name and address and, for small squishies for ages 3 to 6, a choking hazard warning. Squishies with water beads need the water bead warning. A do-not-heat line is also wise. See our labeling guide for citations.

Is there a minimum order for squishy packaging?

No minimum for samples and first runs. Orders of 1,000 units or more get wholesale pricing.
