A sleeve is a band, not a box. It covers the middle of the bar and leaves the ends bare. That is the appeal: the soap stays visible and customers can still smell it, which matters for a product that sells on scent. It also uses much less paper than a carton. The trade-off is protection. A sleeve will not stop a bar from picking up dust, moisture or knocks in transit, so it suits soap sold at craft fairs, in boutiques and through local retail more than long-distance shipping.
Measuring the bar for a snug wrap
Wrap a strip of paper around the middle of a real bar, mark the overlap, and measure the length of that strip. That is the circumference you need, plus a small tab for gluing or tucking. Then measure the band width along the bar. Soap is not machined, so a hand-cut bar can differ by a few millimeters from the one next to it. A snug but not crushing fit works best. Too tight and the sleeve splits when you slide the bar in. Too loose and it slides off. We draw the template for you to test.

Fresh soap can release oil, and uncoated paper shows it as a darker patch. Let bars cure fully before wrapping, and test one on a real bar for a few days before you order a large quantity.

Because there is no minimum order, a new scent can be wrapped in a small test batch before you commit to a full run. Ingredients and labeling
The band is also your label. Put the scent name large on the front, the weight and your brand on the side, and the ingredients where they are easy to find.
