A standard 12 oz retail bag, a 250 g bag or a small 2 oz sample each need a different footprint, and bags rarely sit as square as you expect. Measure the filled and sealed bag at its widest point, its height with the top folded or crimped, and its depth when standing. Allow roughly 1/8 inch of clearance per side. A tuck-end carton is common for single bags. A sleeve over a bag suits a tighter budget. Drip-bag sets and tasting flights usually want a lidded or tray format with dividers so each sachet stays in place.
