A stand-up pouch is a flexible bag with a bottom gusset that lets it stand upright on a shelf. It is the default for coffee, snacks, pet treats, protein, and powders because it ships flat, fills fast, and holds a clean printed face toward the shopper.
Sizes: custom, typically holding fills from 2 ounces up to 5 pounds.
Material: foil, kraft, clear, or matte laminate, food grade.
Options: resealable zipper, degassing valve for coffee, tear notch, hang hole, and clear window.
Minimum order: none.

Stand-up pouch specification
Most of a pouch decision comes down to four things: how much goes in it, how long it has to stay good, how it opens, and how it looks on a shelf. Here is where each one lands.
| Sizing | Cut to your fill rather than picked from a stock range. Most orders sit between 2 ounces and 5 pounds. Send the product weight and roughly how much space it takes up, because a pound of whole-bean coffee and a pound of protein powder need very different bags. |
|---|---|
| Material | Foil, kraft, clear and matte laminate, all food grade. Foil gives the strongest barrier and no view of the product. Kraft reads natural and takes a window well. Clear sells the product itself. Matte laminate is the one that photographs best. |
| Barrier and shelf life | The film blocks oxygen, moisture, light and odor, and how much it blocks depends on the structure. Tell us how long the product has to hold and whether it sits in a warehouse, on a shelf, or goes straight to a customer. |
| Closures and features | Resealable zipper, degassing valve for coffee that is still off-gassing, tear notch, hang hole, and clear window. A zipper and a tear notch together is the usual combination for anything a customer opens more than once. |
| Printing | Full color across the whole face. Send a Pantone reference for any brand color that has to match an existing line, because that is where color drifts. |
| Minimum order | None. Order the quantity you can actually move. If you are holding a written quote from someone else, send it over and we will work to beat it. |
| Production time | Standard runs are 7 to 14 business days. Film choice and finishing move that, so a plain kraft pouch is quicker than a foil pouch with a valve fitted. |
| Proof and samples | Free design and a free digital proof before anything prints. Samples on request. |
| Shipping | Free, with tracking. |
What to send us for a quote
Three things get you a real number rather than a range:
- What goes in it, and how much. Weight plus a rough sense of bulk. If you have the product to hand, its current bag or jar tells us more than a measurement will.
- How many you need. There is no minimum, so give us the quantity you actually want rather than the one you think we want to hear.
- Artwork, if you have it. A print-ready file is ideal. A logo and a rough idea is fine too, and our design team will take it from there at no cost.
Choosing between a pouch and a flat bag
A stand-up pouch earns its extra cost when the bag has to face a shopper. The gusset holds it upright, which gives you a printed panel at eye level and stops the product slumping into a heap at the back of a shelf. If the bag is going into a box, a subscription mailer, or straight into a cupboard, a flat pouch does the same job for less material.
