Custom advertising packaging is any box, sleeve or mailer designed to carry a marketing message as well as the product, and TBPB makes it with no minimum order. We also run a price-beat guarantee: bring a written quote for the same specs and we will beat it.
Where the message actually gets seen
A shipping box is looked at three times: on the courier’s truck, on the doorstep, and on the kitchen counter when it is opened. Most brands only design for the first one. A box built as advertising treats each moment separately. The outside carries one idea, big enough to read across a room. The inside flap carries the second, usually a short line, a social handle or a QR code. The third sits on top of the product as an insert card, a belly band or a printed tissue sheet.
The mistake we see most is cramming all of that onto one panel. Pick a single message per surface and leave white space around it. A box with five competing slogans gets read as none of them, and the courier label will already take up a good share of one panel anyway.
Choosing the box style behind the message
The advertising is only as good as the box it rides on. For subscription and e-commerce orders, a printed mailer box gives you a full printable interior, which is the panel most competitors waste. For gifts and corporate drops, a corporate gift box with a rigid lid holds up to repeated handling and gets kept. If the product already has a good retail box, a printed belly band is a cheap way to add a campaign message without redesigning the carton.
Print and finish that reads at a distance
Advertising print has a different job from product print. Solid color fields, large type and strong contrast survive a courier scuff and still read from a few feet away. Fine gradients and tiny type do not. We print in CMYK and can match a Pantone color when your brand red or blue has to be exact. Finishing then sets the mood: matte aqueous coating for a calm, modern look, gloss for punchy color, soft-touch lamination when you want the box to feel good in the hand, and spot UV or foil stamping on the logo only.
Kraft board with one or two ink colors is a legitimate choice too. It looks deliberate and keeps ink coverage low on large runs.

When advertising packaging is the wrong move
If the box will be thrown out unseen, such as inside a warehouse-to-warehouse shipment, spend the money elsewhere. And a QR code that lands on your homepage wastes the scan. Point it at a landing page that matches the box, ideally one you can measure separately. For a quick look at related retail formats, browse our custom retail packaging range.
To get a quote, send your product dimensions, the box style you have in mind and a quantity, even if that quantity is one. We draw the dieline, show you where each panel falls and quote it from there.
Frequently asked questions
What is advertising packaging?
It is packaging designed to promote your brand as well as protect the product. Printed exteriors, branded interiors, inserts and QR codes all count. The box becomes a marketing channel that travels to every customer you ship to.
Can I print on the inside of the box?
Yes. Interior printing is available on mailer boxes and many folding cartons. It is the most underused panel, because the customer sees it right when they are paying attention, so it suits a short message or a scannable code.
Is there a minimum order for custom advertising boxes?
No. TBPB has no minimum order, so you can order a single box to test a design or run thousands for a campaign. Send your dimensions and quantity and we will draw the dieline and quote it.
Which box style works best for promotional shipping?
Mailer boxes suit e-commerce and subscriptions because the interior is fully printable. Rigid gift boxes suit corporate mailings. Belly bands and sleeves work when the product already has packaging you want to keep.
How do I make a QR code on a box scan reliably?
Print it at least about 0.8 inch square in dark ink on a light, flat area with a clear margin around it. Avoid placing it across a fold or under a glossy spot UV patch. Test a printed proof before the full run.
Can you match my brand colors?
We can match a Pantone color on request, which matters when your brand color has to look the same on the box and everywhere else. Board and coating shift color slightly, so approve a proof before production.
