Shipping and Turnaround

Standard production runs 7 to 14 business days, depending on the box style, print method, and finishing you choose, a simple kraft mailer moves faster than a box with foil stamping or spot UV. Need it sooner? We handle rush requests case by case, so email us your deadline before you place the order and we’ll tell you straight whether we can hit it.

Shipping is free on every order, in the United States and internationally. We ship with FedEx, UPS, USPS or DHL depending on your location and order size, and you’ll get a tracking number as soon as your order leaves our facility.

Custom wig packaging is a printed box, typically a folding carton or a rigid lid-and-base box, built to hold a wig without crushing the hair or deforming the cap. TBPB makes wig boxes to your size with no minimum order, and we beat any written quote you bring for the same specs.

The two things that ruin a wig in a box

Compression and tangling. A wig folded into a box that is too small gets matted fibres and a cap that never quite recovers. A wig left loose in a large box slides around, and long lace-front styles tangle against the sides. The right box is deep enough to hold the wig at its natural volume, with something to keep it from moving: a tissue wrap, a hair net, or a shaped insert or head form that the cap sits on.

For lace-front and human-hair wigs, which are the expensive end of the range, customers judge the quality of the item partly by the unboxing. A soft, tidy presentation matters.

Working out the box size

Pack the wig the way you want customers to receive it, then measure. Laid flat, a shoulder-length wig needs less depth than a long wavy one, and a wig on a form needs a tall box. Allow about 1/8 inch of clearance on each side for a snug fit, and add height if you include accessories such as a wig cap, comb or brush. Tell us if you ship long wigs coiled in a ring, because that uses a short, wide box rather than a long one.

If you sell many lengths, order a few sizes in the same style. Matching the box to the product reduces the movement that tangles hair in transit.

Board, closures and finishing

Folding carton board around 18 to 24 pt suits wigs sold in retail. For stock that ships, rigid chipboard 1.5 to 3 mm wrapped in printed paper gives a sturdier lid-and-base box with a premium feel; ask about it if you plan to sell wigs as gifts. Magnetic or ribbon closures add presence. Window cut-outs show the hair, but sunlight can fade colour over time, so a window is better for display shelves than for long storage.

On print, black, white and metallic foil sit comfortably in the beauty category. Soft-touch lamination plus a foil logo is a typical choice for premium hair brands. TBPB prints the artwork you supply, and any claims about hair type or origin are yours to verify.

Shipping needs its own thought. A retail carton protects the wig on a shelf but not in a courier network, so most online sellers put the printed box inside a corrugated mailer with a little padding. That keeps the printed box clean and lets the unboxing be the first time the customer sees it. If your returns rate is high, choose board that survives being opened and re-closed.

  • Board: folding carton paperboard or rigid chipboard
  • Extras: tissue wrap, insert or head form support, ribbon
  • Finishes: matte, gloss, soft-touch, foil, spot UV, embossing

Related boxes for hair brands

Brands that also sell extensions can see hair extension boxes, and styling products fit in hairspray boxes. Beauty sets with brushes and accessories often use a makeup box. The full range is in cosmetic packaging.

Send the wig length, the style and your quantity, even if it is one box, and we draw the dieline and quote it.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Is there a minimum order for wig boxes?

No. There is no minimum order. Order one box to test the fit with your wigs or order a full range in several sizes. Each is cut and printed to the dimensions you send.

  2. What size box do I need for a wig?

Pack the wig as customers will receive it, then measure length, width and height and add about 1/8 inch per side. Long wigs and wigs on forms need more depth than short flat ones.

  3. How do I keep wigs from tangling in the box?

Hold the wig still. A tissue wrap, a hair net or a shaped insert stops the hair sliding. Size the box so the wig sits at its natural volume, not compressed or loose.

  4. What box style works best for a premium wig?

A rigid lid-and-base box with a magnetic or ribbon closure feels most premium. A sleeve and tray is lighter and cheaper to ship. Tell us how the wig is sold and we recommend a style.

  5. Can the box have a window?

Yes, a clear window shows the hair colour. Sunlight can fade fibres over time, so windows suit display shelves better than long-term storage.

  6. How do I get a quote for custom wig boxes?

Send the wig length, style and quantity. We draw the dieline and quote it, and TBPB beats any written quote for the same specs.

Stylish and Protective Custom Wig Packaging

Wigs are fragile and tangle easily, so the box has to do more than look good. A custom size keeps the hair at its natural volume, and an insert or tissue wrap stops it sliding. Retail wig brands and online hair sellers choose printed cartons or rigid boxes to match a premium product, with soft-touch and foil for the finish. TBPB makes any size and quantity with no minimum order, so you can match boxes to every length you sell.

Why Choose Custom Wig Packaging for Your Business?

Start from how the wig is presented: flat, coiled, or on a form. That sets the depth. Then choose between a folding carton for lighter retail and a rigid lid-and-base for gifts and premium lines. Add tissue or an insert to stop movement, and decide whether a window helps or whether sun fade is a risk. Pick a small number of finishes such as soft-touch and a foil logo. Send the wig measurements and we confirm the box size.
