Custom Concealer Boxes

Custom concealer boxes are folding cartons sized to a wand tube, squeeze tube, stick or pot of concealer. TBPB makes them to your container dimensions with no minimum order, and if you bring a written quote for the same specs, we will beat it.

What the box has to hold

Concealer comes in more shapes than most cosmetic products. A liquid wand is a slim bottle with a doe-foot applicator, a squeeze tube is flat and bendy, a stick is a chunky twist-up, and a pot is a short cylinder. Each wants a different carton. A tall tuck top suits a wand bottle. A wider, shallower carton suits a pot. A tube lies flat in a reverse tuck end carton and can be hung from a tab if retail needs it. So the first thing we ask for is the container, not the artwork.

Getting the fit right

Measure the container height and width with the cap on, then add about an eighth of an inch of clearance on each side for a folding carton. Too loose and the bottle rattles, which customers read as cheap. Too tight and the carton bulges at the seams or the cap catches when you slide it out. If the product is heavy glass, tell us, because a paperboard insert that cradles the shoulders will keep the bottle from knocking against the front panel. We draw the dieline from your measurements and send a proof first.

If the cartons will ship inside a mailer, plan for that now. A paperboard carton that arrives with a crushed corner looks worse than no carton at all, so many brands pack concealer boxes in a small corrugated mailer or a rigid shipper rather than posting them loose. Tell us the outer packaging and we can size the carton to sit neatly inside it.

Board, print and finish

Folding carton paperboard in the 16 to 24 pt range is typical, with the heavier end suited to glass bottles and the lighter to tubes. Print in CMYK for shade photography or Pantone for an exact brand color. Many concealer brands run a swatch strip on the front, so color accuracy matters; ask for a printed sample and compare it against the real product in daylight rather than under office lights. Matte coating hides fingerprints, soft-touch lamination feels richer, and foil on the logo gives it a bit of shine. A window is possible but rarely helps, since the product is usually pale and gets lost behind film.

When a different style is the better choice

If you sell a complexion range, matching your concealer cartons to your foundation boxes keeps the shelf looking like one line. For a straightforward, easy-to-stock carton, a tuck top box works for most bottles. A make-up box in a larger format suits kits that bundle several items.
