Wholesale gable boxes are the same handled carton as any gable box, ordered in production quantities for a bakery chain, a caterer, an event company or a distributor: a one piece blank that ships flat, squares up by hand and locks its own carry handle. We run them in kraft, white and full color, in every standard size, on a schedule matched to how you consume them, and with no minimum order, which at wholesale means the unit cost falls as the run grows rather than a floor you have to clear. The number that matters at volume is boxes per case and cases per pallet: a 6 by 3.5 by 3.5 inch gable packs 250 flat to a case and about 40 cases to a pallet, so a pallet is 10,000 boxes and a month of storage for a busy counter.

The difference between a wholesale order and a single one is planning, not the box. Sizes are standardized so the same blank serves several products, artwork is set up once with a change panel for locations or seasons, and delivery is scheduled so the boxes arrive as the last case is used.

Standard wholesale sizes

Size (L x W x H to handle)HoldsBoxes per case (flat)Cases per pallet
4 x 2.5 x 2.5 infavors, candy50048
6 x 3.5 x 3.5 incookies, a candle, a small jar25040
8 x 4.75 x 5.25 insandwich lunch, two cupcakes15036
9.5 x 5 x 5 ina boxed lunch with sides12532
12 x 7 x 7 ingift sets, party supplies7530

Custom sizes run the same way; the case and pallet counts change with the blank. We put the counts on the quote so warehouse space is known before the order.

Board at volume

16 to 18 point paperboard for favors, cookies and light gifts to about 2 pounds; E flute corrugated for lunches, catering and anything carried by the handle above that. At volume the board choice is also a freight choice: a pallet of E flute gables weighs and costs more to ship than paperboard, so match the board to the heaviest thing the box will carry and no more.

Artwork for many locations

One master artwork with a change panel: the location name, a seasonal message or a menu item prints in the panel while the rest of the box stays the same, so plates and setup are shared across the run. Kraft with one or two colors is the lowest cost at volume and hides handling. White with full color for a branded chain. Windows and grease resistant coating for food.

Scheduling and reorders

Tell us the monthly consumption and we quote a run and a delivery cadence: a single pallet, or a larger run held and released by the pallet as you call it off. Reorders run from the approved file with no setup repeated. Because there is no minimum, a new location or a seasonal design can run on its own schedule without waiting for the main order.

In short

What you get back: a size list with case and pallet counts, board by what the box carries, a master artwork with change panels, a run and release schedule, and samples to load. Wholesale gable box questions

  1. How many gable boxes come in a case?

It depends on size. A 6 by 3.5 by 3.5 inch gable packs about 250 flat to a case and 40 cases to a pallet; an 8 by 4.75 by 5.25 packs 150 to a case. We put case and pallet counts on the quote so storage is known before the order.

  2. Is there a minimum for wholesale gable boxes?

No. The unit cost falls as the run grows, but there is no floor. A single pallet, a few cases for a new location, or a seasonal design can each run on their own.

  3. Can one order cover several store locations?

Yes. One master artwork with a change panel for the location name or a seasonal message shares the plates and setup across the run, and each location can take its own case count.

  4. Can you hold stock and release it?

Yes. A larger run can be held and released by the pallet as you call it off, so you get the volume rate without the warehouse space. Reorders run from the approved file.

  5. Which board for wholesale gable boxes?

16 to 18 point paperboard for favors, cookies and light gifts to about 2 pounds; E flute corrugated for lunches and catering above that. Match the board to the heaviest thing the box carries, because at volume the board is also a freight cost.

No minimum order. One or a full run. Free design and dieline, and a printed proof before production. Free samples so you can load a case on the counter before you commit. Price match: send a written quote for the same size, board, print and quantity and we will beat it.

How a wholesale gable order is planned

Standardize the sizes so one blank serves several products. Set up one artwork with a change panel so plates are shared. Match the board to the heaviest load, because a pallet of E flute costs more to ship than paperboard. Then set a delivery cadence from monthly consumption so cases arrive as the last one is used. Send us the sizes and monthly volumes and we will lay it out with case and pallet counts.
