Cotton candy packaging is a sealed container that keeps spun sugar dry: a clear or printed tub with a snap lid, a stand up pouch with a barrier layer and a zipper, or a printed carton with a food grade liner. Cotton candy is almost pure sugar with an enormous surface area, so it pulls moisture from the air and collapses into a sticky lump within hours if the pack leaks. We make all three formats, printed to the brand, in the standard fill sizes, and with no minimum order. The number that matters is the seal: a pack that is not airtight gives the product a shelf life of a day; a sealed tub or a barrier pouch gives it two to four weeks, and up to a few months with an oxygen absorber.
The product weighs almost nothing and takes up a lot of space, so the second number is volume. A 1.75 ounce tub is about 32 ounces by volume; a party and event size holds 3 ounces in a 64 ounce tub. Packaging that is sized by weight is wrong every time; size it by volume.

Tubs
The clear PET tub is the standard because the color of the candy sells it. A snap fit lid plus a tamper shrink band around the rim makes it airtight enough for a few weeks. Brand it with a full wrap label, a printed lid label, or a printed paperboard sleeve around the tub that also carries the ingredients panel. Tub sizes follow volume: 16 ounces holds about an ounce of candy, 32 ounces about 1.75, 64 ounces about 3.
Pouches
For shipping and for flavor packs, a stand up pouch with a foil or metallized barrier, a zipper and a tear notch keeps the product dry and survives a parcel. Print it full color, or use a clear front with a foil back so the color shows. A 6 by 9 inch pouch holds about an ounce; an 8 by 12 holds two to three. Add a small oxygen absorber sachet for a longer shelf life on shipped orders.
Cartons and favors
A printed carton with a food grade liner bag inside gives the gift and party favor look: a window carton, a gable box with a handle, or a small tuck end box. The carton does the branding; the sealed inner bag does the shelf life. For weddings and parties, a 4 by 4 by 6 inch window box holds a single serve and sits on a table.
Labeling
Ingredients, allergen and net weight panels go on the label, the sleeve or the pouch back. Net weight for cotton candy is small and surprises customers, so brands often add the volume or the serving count next to it. We leave a clean panel for a flavor sticker if you run many flavors on one printed pack.
