Beard oil packaging is a custom printed carton, usually a tuck end box, built around a dropper bottle so the glass stays upright, protected and easy to read on a shelf. TBPB makes it with no minimum order, and if you bring a written quote for the same specs we will beat it.
Built around the dropper bottle, not the other way round
The common retail format is a one ounce (30 ml) glass dropper bottle in a tall, narrow carton. The dropper adds height, and that is where most first-time orders go wrong: the box is sized to the glass and the rubber bulb ends up crushed against the lid. Measure the bottle with the dropper fitted, then add about 1/8 inch of clearance on each side. A straight tuck end carton keeps the bottle upright and opens like a shop display. A reverse tuck end box works for the same job and tends to be the cheaper style to run on a press sheet.
Board and print for a grooming product
Most beard oil cartons are printed on folding carton paperboard, typically 16 to 24 pt, which holds a crisp fold and takes ink well. Kraft board suits the woodsy, small-batch look many beard brands lean into, though it dulls bright colours slightly, so a dark brown or black ink on kraft often looks better than a pastel. Matte aqueous coating resists fingerprints from oily hands, and soft-touch lamination gives a velvety feel at the till. Foil stamping on the brand name or a spot UV logo against a matte field are the two finishes that read as premium without making the carton heavy.
Oil is the real hazard here. A dropper bottle that weeps will stain uncoated board, so an inner paperboard insert or a coated stock is a sensible precaution on boxes that will be shipped loose.
Think about how the carton gets read, too. The front panel carries the brand name, the side panels have room for scent notes and ingredients, and the end flap is where a customer looking through a stack of boxes will see a scent name first. Put the scent on the end and the stack sells itself.
Sets, tins and what else fits the same box
Many brands sell a bottle plus a balm tin, or a bottle with a small comb. A wider carton with a die cut paperboard insert holds each item in its own pocket and stops them knocking together in transit. If you only sell the oil, consider our dropper bottle boxes, and if your bottles run smaller than one ounce, see the 30ml bottle boxes. For multi item sets, a custom bottle product insert keeps everything in place.

Rules you still own
TBPB prints the artwork you supply. Ingredient lists, warnings and any cosmetic labelling that applies to your products are your responsibility, and it is worth confirming requirements with your own regulatory adviser before artwork is finalized. We would rather you check than reprint.

Frequently asked questions
What size box fits a one ounce beard oil bottle?
It depends on the bottle, because dropper heights vary by supplier. Measure the bottle with the dropper fitted, then add about 1/8 inch per side for clearance. Send us those three measurements and we will draw a dieline to match. Guessing from a generic size chart is how boxes end up too tight.
Do you have a minimum order for beard oil boxes?
No. There is no minimum order, so you can order a single box to check the fit or ten thousand for a full launch. Plenty of small grooming brands start with a handful of samples and reorder once the artwork and fit are approved.
Will oil stain the cardboard?
It can. A leaking or overfilled dropper will mark uncoated paperboard. A coated stock, an aqueous coating or an inner insert gives some protection, and a well sealed bottle matters more than any box. If you ship loose bottles, mention it and we will suggest a suitable board.
Can one box hold a bottle and a balm tin?
Yes. A wider carton with a die cut paperboard insert can give each item its own pocket. Send the dimensions of both the bottle and the tin and we will lay out the insert so nothing rattles or presses against the other item during shipping.
Can I print my own ingredient list on the box?
Yes, we print the artwork you send us. The content is yours to write and check, including ingredients and any warnings that apply to your product. Confirm labelling requirements with your own regulatory adviser before you approve a proof, because we do not edit supplied copy.
Which finish suits beard oil packaging best?
Matte aqueous coating or soft-touch lamination handle oily fingers well and feel right for a grooming product. Add foil stamping or spot UV to the logo for emphasis. Kraft board with dark ink is a popular choice for a rugged look and needs no lamination at all.
