The Best Price Boxes makes custom square tube boxes with no minimum order, and we beat any written quote on the same specs. A square tube box is a tall, four-sided carton with a tuck or lid closure, used for lipsticks, serums, pre-rolls, candles, and any slim product that looks better standing upright than lying flat.
Square tube versus round tube
Round paper tubes are rolled and glued, so the inside diameter is fixed by the tooling. Square tubes are folded from flat paperboard, which makes them easier to size to a product and easier to print edge to edge on four flat panels. They also stack and ship more efficiently because square sides do not roll.
The trade-off is protection. A paperboard square tube is a carton, not a hard shell. It holds shape and looks sharp on a shelf, but it will not stop a drop the way a rigid or a rolled tube with end caps can. For fragile glass, add an insert or look at a rigid format.

How to measure for a square tube
Use the widest point of the product, not the label. Measure the width and depth (they will be equal or close on a square tube) and the full height in inches, then add a little clearance, usually an eighth of an inch per side so the product slides in without rattling. If the product has a pump, cap, or dropper, measure to the top of that part.
The common mistake is measuring only the bottle body. The cap sticks out, the box ends up too short, and the closure will not tuck flat.
Where square tubes work and where they do not
They suit cosmetics, skincare droppers, lip products, small candles, supplements, and pre-roll packs. They are a poor fit for heavy, wide products, where a mailer or a standard carton is the better call. Cosmetic and food brands are responsible for their own label and regulatory copy. We print the artwork you supply.
If you need something stronger or more cylindrical, look at paper tube packaging or paper tubes for cosmetics. For cannabis pre-rolls, see pre-roll tube packaging. If you want a cube shape instead of a tall tube, cube boxes are the closest match, and lipstick boxes are sized for a smaller footprint.
How to order

Questions buyers ask
Can I order a single square tube box?
Yes. There is no minimum order, so one box for fit testing or a photo shoot is a normal order. Many brands start with a single sample and scale up after approval.
How do I size a square tube for my product?
Measure the widest point of the product including cap or pump, plus its full height, in inches. Add about an eighth of an inch per side for clearance. Send those numbers and we will check them against the dieline.
Is a square tube box strong enough to ship?
It protects well inside a shipper but is not a rigid shell. For parcel shipping, put it in a mailer or corrugated box. Fragile glass may also need an insert.
Can I print on all four sides?
Yes. Square tubes have four flat panels you can print with your artwork. Ask us to confirm finishing options for your spec.
What products fit in a square tube?
Lip products, serums, small candles, supplements, and pre-rolls fit well. Anything wider than tall is better in a standard carton.
