Custom cereal box with personalized branding, vibrant colors, and high-quality packaging designed for food brands and promotional use.

Custom Cereal Boxes, No Minimum Order

A custom cereal box has to do three jobs at once: stand out on a crowded shelf, stay upright and square through shipping, and hold a liner bag of something that crushes easily. Get the size or the board wrong and you get bulging sides, crushed corners or a box that will not stack in a case.

We make custom cereal boxes with no minimum order, so you can order a single prototype, check the fit with your actual liner bag, and approve the print before a larger run. And if you find the same specification for less elsewhere, our price-beat guarantee applies.

How a cereal carton is built

The standard format is a tuck-end folding carton, tall and narrow, with a front panel that carries your brand and a back panel for the nutrition and ingredient information. A glued side seam and tuck-in top and bottom flaps keep the box closed. For a brand that wants to be recognised at a glance, a window die cut or a pour-spout feature can be added, but each one adds complexity, so decide whether it earns its place.

  • Board: folding carton paperboard, usually 16 pt to 24 pt. Heavier board resists bowing when the box is full and stacked.
  • Print: full-colour CMYK on the outside, with Pantone matching for a brand colour that has to stay consistent across products.
  • Finish: gloss for strong colour, matte for a more modern look, and spot UV on a logo or a character if you want it to catch the light.
  • Liner: cereal normally sits in a sealed inner bag. The carton itself does not touch the food.

Sizing a cereal box correctly

Cereal is sold by weight but packed by volume. Puffed or flaked cereals fill a lot more space per ounce than granola or muesli, so two products at the same weight can need quite different cartons. Measure the filled liner bag, not the cereal. Then allow a little clearance so the bag slides in without stretching the board at the seams.

Not sure of the numbers? Send us a photo of the bag or a sample and we will work out the dimensions and draw a dieline for you to approve.

Mini boxes and variety packs

Single-serve cartons use the same construction at a smaller size, and they work well for sampling, hotels, school lunches and variety multipacks. A shrink-wrapped or tray-packed set of minis needs a slightly different size from a single box, so tell us how the packs will be grouped.

Related packaging

Many cereal and snack brands pair the carton with a tuck top box for gift sets, or a mailer box for direct-to-consumer orders. Browse the rest of our custom packaging range.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a minimum order for custom cereal boxes?

No. We make custom cereal boxes with no minimum order, so a new brand can order a single prototype to check size and print before committing to a run.

What size should a cereal box be?

Size depends on the volume of cereal, not only its weight, because puffed cereals take far more space than dense granola. Send us the bag or liner dimensions and the fill height you want, and we will build the carton around them.

Does cereal go straight into the box?

Usually not. Most cereal is packed in a sealed liner bag inside the carton, which keeps the food away from the board and keeps it fresh. Check with your co-packer or food safety adviser for your product.

Can I order mini or single-serve cereal boxes?

Yes. Small variety-pack and single-serve cartons are made the same way as full-size boxes, just at smaller dimensions.

What board is used for cereal cartons?

Folding carton paperboard, typically in the 16 pt to 24 pt range, printed in full colour. We can use a coated white board for bright artwork or a kraft board for a natural look.
