A shoulder neck box has an inner frame, the neck, that sits above the base so the lid closes onto a raised shoulder. The result is a precise, layered reveal that reads as high end, which is why it is the structure behind most fragrance and premium spirits packaging.

Construction: rigid base, inner neck frame, and lid.
Best for: fragrance, spirits, candles, prestige beauty.
Minimum order: none.

Shoulder neck box specification

The neck is an inner frame that sits above the base so the lid closes onto a raised shoulder. That layered reveal is the whole point, and it is why the structure sits behind most fragrance and premium spirits packaging.

StructureBase, inner neck, and lid. The neck is what gives the precise, slow close that reads as expensive.
SizingBuilt to the product with tight tolerances. This structure is less forgiving than a lift-off lid, so send exact dimensions or the product itself.
FitThe gap between neck and lid decides the feel. Too loose and it rattles; too tight and it sticks. This is worth a physical sample before a full run.
Wrap and finishRigid wrap with foil stamping, embossing or soft-touch lamination. The shoulder catches light, so a foiled edge shows well there.
InsertA fitted insert holds the product square inside the neck. For glass this is what prevents breakage.
Short runsHand-assembled, so a small run gets the same construction and finishes as a large one.
Minimum orderNone. Order the quantity you can actually move. If you are holding a written quote from someone else, send it over and we will work to beat it.
Production timeStandard runs are 7 to 14 business days. Print method and finishing move that.
Proof and samplesFree design and a free digital proof before anything prints. Samples on request.

What to send us for a quote

Three things get you a real number rather than a range:

  • Exact product dimensions, or the product. Tolerances are tight on this structure.
  • Whether it holds glass. That decides the insert.
  • Artwork, or brand assets. Free design and dielines.
