Coated paperboard in the 16 to 24 pt range gives a brighter white base, sharper print and a smoother surface for foil and spot UV. For a hemp line that wants to look more clinical or more luxe, coated board is the better surface. For a farm-to-shelf feel, stay with kraft.
Structure and protection
Tuck-end cartons suit bottles, tubes and small jars. A sleeve over a tray suits multi-item sets. A window panel lets buyers see the product, though it adds film and cutting. Glass jars benefit from an insert that cradles the jar and stops it striking the carton wall. Corrugated sleeves or shippers handle bulk transport, while the printed carton carries the brand. Magnetic or rigid construction is a different build, so ask for a quote on it separately.
