We construct large stand up pouches with a reinforced bottom gusset, flat wicketed bags for automated filling, and gusseted bulk bags in one pound, five pound, and larger capacities. The laminate keeps a full barrier against light, oxygen, and moisture at any size, and we add heavy duty zippers, tear notches, hang holes, and degassing valves for coffee. For very large bulk we can spec a thicker film so the bag holds its shape when filled.
The reason to go large in mylar rather than a plain poly liner is shelf life on bulk product, because the barrier protects a big fill that will sit longer before it is used.
