Custom coffee packaging built to protect flavor and sell your roast on the shelf. We make custom coffee bags, stand up pouches, side gusset bags, and coffee boxes with the freshness features roasters need, including one way degassing valves, resealable zippers, and high barrier films. No minimum order, so you can start with a single small batch and scale as you grow.
Coffee bag and pouch styles
The right structure depends on how you fill, display, and ship your coffee. These are the styles roasters order most, and we can make any of them with your artwork and your choice of freshness features.
Stand up pouch
The most popular retail coffee bag. It stands on the shelf, offers a large front panel for your brand, and works with a valve and a resealable zipper. Ideal for 8 oz to 2 lb retail bags.
Side gusset bag
The classic coffee bag shape with folded sides and an optional tin tie top. It gives a premium, traditional roaster look and a lot of panel space, and pairs well with a degassing valve.
Flat bottom and quad seal bag
A box shaped pouch that stands flat and firm with five printable panels. It looks premium on the shelf and holds larger volumes well, from 12 oz up to 5 lb.
Drip bag and single serve
Single serve drip coffee sachets and pods for sampling, hospitality, and subscription boxes. Small format, high impact branding.
Coffee boxes and mailers
Rigid gift boxes, mailer boxes, and cartons for coffee gift sets, subscriptions, and wholesale cases. See our custom printed coffee boxes for rigid and folding carton options.
Freshness features that protect your roast
Coffee is a living product. It releases carbon dioxide for days after roasting and it loses aroma when exposed to oxygen, light, and moisture. The right features keep it fresh from your roaster to the customer’s cup.
One way degassing valve
A degassing valve lets carbon dioxide escape without letting oxygen in, so you can bag fresh roasted coffee immediately without the bag swelling or bursting. For most whole bean and ground coffee, a valve is strongly recommended.
Resealable zipper and tin tie
A press to close zipper or a tin tie keeps the bag closed between uses and signals quality to the buyer. Both are optional add ons on most styles.
High barrier film
A strong oxygen and moisture barrier is what actually preserves aroma and shelf life. We offer foil and metallized barrier films for maximum freshness, and recyclable and compostable structures for brands that prioritize sustainability.
Materials and barrier options
| Material | Best for | Barrier | Look |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kraft paper outer | Craft and specialty roasters | High with foil liner | Natural, artisan |
| Matte or gloss film | Modern retail brands | High | Clean, premium |
| Foil or metallized | Maximum freshness | Highest | Bright, protective |
| Recyclable mono material | Sustainable brands | Medium to high | Eco forward |
| Compostable | Zero waste positioning | Medium | Natural |
| Clear window | Showing the bean | High around window | Transparent detail |
Common coffee bag sizes
Bag size is chosen by coffee weight and grind. These are typical fill capacities. We build to your exact size at no minimum, so you are not locked into stock dimensions.
| Bag size | Typical fill | Common use |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 2 oz to 4 oz | Samples, single origin flights, subscriptions |
| Medium | 8 oz to 12 oz | Standard retail bag |
| Large | 1 lb | Retail and cafe wholesale |
| Bulk | 2 lb to 5 lb | Wholesale, cafes, offices |
Printing and finishes
Full color printing that makes your roast stand out, with matte, gloss, soft touch, and spot finishes. Add foil stamping, embossing, and a clear window to show the bean. Our design team sets up your artwork for free and sends a free 3D mockup so you see the bag before you commit.

Frequently asked questions
Do you have a minimum order for custom coffee bags?
No. There is no minimum order at all. You can order the exact quantity you need, whether that is a small test batch of a new single origin or a full wholesale run, and the unit price drops as your volume grows.
What is a one way degassing valve and do I need one?
A degassing valve lets the carbon dioxide from fresh roasted coffee escape while keeping oxygen out. It lets you bag coffee right after roasting without the bag swelling. For whole bean and ground coffee we strongly recommend a valve. It is optional and can be added to most bag styles.
Which bag style is best for coffee?
Stand up pouches are the most popular for retail because they display well and take a valve and zipper. Side gusset bags give the classic roaster look with a tin tie. Flat bottom bags look the most premium and hold larger volumes. We can help you choose based on your weight and how you sell.
Are your coffee bags food safe?
Yes. All of our coffee packaging uses food grade, food safe materials suitable for direct contact with coffee beans and grounds.
Can I get recyclable or compostable coffee bags?
Yes. We offer recyclable mono material structures and compostable options for brands that want a sustainable package, alongside standard high barrier films. We will help you balance freshness and sustainability for your roast.
Do you offer resealable zippers and tin ties?
Yes. Press to close resealable zippers and tin tie tops are both available on most bag styles, so customers can reclose the bag and keep the coffee fresh between uses.
What sizes do you make?
Everything from 2 oz sample bags to 5 lb bulk bags, built to your exact dimensions. Because there is no minimum, you are not limited to stock sizes.
How fast can I get them and are samples free?
Typical production is about 10 to 14 business days after you approve the artwork, and yes, samples are free so you can test the material and valve before you order.
